It all began with a plan to

add value to dairy calves.

We are contracting exclusively with Vermont farmers to breed, grow and market the most efficient, high-quality, high-yielding, F1 dairy cross premium beef. We are inspired to develop and utilize optimal genetics, production data, and the best practices available in the industry.

We are set up to contract with farmers to breed, grow, and finish beef and then market those finished beef animals. Our process is closely coordinated with dairy farms and custom growers throughout Vermont.

We supply breeding doses to our farmers and take title on the calves when born, then pay our dairy farmer for the calves. The calves are transported to a calf-raising facility where they are grown to weaning age, transitioned to a grower ration, backgrounded and then finished for market.

Vermont Cattlemen pay the calf raisers, backgrounding, and finishing farms monthly for boarding and feed used from their farms. We also supply each custom grower with concentrates and/or milk replacer as needed for their operation.

Vermont Cattlemen focus on high-marbling Wagyu genetics that will yield a premium beef product for the market. Our process ensures consistent, high quality beef and profitability for our custom growers.
